3. Introduction
 The study examined the mortality effects of passive resin transfluthrin
diffusers on three types of mosquitoes:
a. Pyrethroid-susceptible Aedes aegypti (colony-reared sentinel strain)
b. Pyrethroid-susceptible Culex quinquefasciatus (colony-reared sentinel strain)
c. Pyrethroid-resistant Aedes aegypti (a separate strain with resistance to
insecticides).
 The transfluthrin diffusers released approximately 5 mg of active ingredient
per 24 hours.
 The study was conducted over an 8-week period.

mosquito mortality, suggesting higher temperatures contributed to
greater mortality.
. These interactions showed complex relationships between these
factors and their influence on mosquito mortality.

doorway, or outside the tent).

10. Discussions
 Transfluthrin diffusers are effective in killing susceptible
Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquefasciatus mosquitoes, but not
pyrethroid-resistant Ae. aegypti mosquitoes.
 The transfluthrin-infused devices' effectiveness was influenced
by environmental factors, which combined to impact mosquito
mortality in the field.

11. Conclusion
 Transfluthrin was highly effective in causing
mortality against the susceptible Ae. aegypti
and Cx. quinquefasciatus mosquitoes under
field conditions.
