How do we measure success?
Success in life is not determined by how we are doing compared with others, but by how we are doing
compared with what we are capable of doing.

Qualities that makes a person successful-
1. Desire
The motivation to succeed comes from the burning desire to achieve a purpose.

2. Commitment
Integrity and wisdom are the two pillars on which to build and keep commitments.

3. Responsibility
Accepting responsibility involves taking calculated, not foolish, risks.

Deny them
Accept, learn from them and not repeat them.

4. Hard Work
Hard Work is both a beginning and an end itself. Great talent without will-power and hard work is a
waste.

5. Character
Character is a sum total of a person’s values, beliefs and personality. To be a winner takes character.
6. Positive Believing
Positive believing is more than positive thinking. It is knowing that positive thinking will work. It is
an attitude of confidence that comes from preparation.
7. Give More Than You Get
more valuable, more confidence, respect and trust, pride and satisfaction

8. Persistence
Persistence is a decision. It is a commitment to finish what you start. Athletes put in years of
practice for a few seconds or minutes of performance.
9. Pride of Performance
Pride of performance does not represent ego. It represents pleasure with humility. Excellence comes
when the performer takes pride in doing his best.
10. Be a Willing to Be a Student – Get a Mentor
A good mentor will guide and give direction. Be an interested student. An interested student gets the
best out of a teacher.
The best teacher will not give you something to drink, they will make you thirsty.
