Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University
,abbreviated as (MRSPTU), was established by the Punjab
state Government in the year 2015 at Bathinda . The
university offers UG,PG,Ph.D. programmes . The
institution is approved by AICTE and UGC . Admission into
the Colleges takes place on merit –basis through entrance
exams like JEE, CMAT , GATE ,and NATA . The university is
the member of the association of India Universities and it
has 6 constituent colleges functioning under the agies of
MRSPTU .

5. ABOUT THE COLLEGE ……
GZS Campus college of Engineering and Technology
,MRSPT University , Bathinda is the first institute in
Punjab establish by state government in the year 1989
when the hon’ble governor of Punjab Sh.S.S Ray laid the
foundation stone on 23rd October , 1989. Initially setup as
Government Engineering College , it was coverted in ti an
autonomous institute in the year 1992 and a “Board of
Governers” (BOG) was constituted to manage the affairs
of the college . This college was made a campus of Punjab
Technical University in 2011.
7. DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING..
Department of Civil Engineering was established in 1989, offers
regular courses in B.Tech. and M.Tech., more seats are offered to the
diploma holder students in the second year of B.Tech. course under
lateral entry scheme. Postgraduate course in Construction Technology
& Management is offered on regular basis and PhD program in Civil
Engineering is also running. Motive of the department and it's well
qualified & experienced faculty, staff is to impart quality education in
the field of Civil Engineering. Industrial visits are also planned for the
students to enhance their practical skills. Five faculty members have
done PhD from prestigious institutions of the country and two others
are currently pursuing their doctoral level research.

universities and well known educational organisation. The

understanding of the subject and magazine of problem-
solving techniques for efficient and effective studying.
The faculty team comprise of perfect blend of
academicians and subject experts. They are trained to
superior the learning process for students.
