Islam is defined as submission to God through peace. The main beliefs in Islam include belief in one God, angels, holy books, prophets including Muhammad, and the Day of Judgment. The five pillars of Islam that Muslims follow are the declaration of faith, prayer five times a day, fasting during Ramadan, giving charity, and performing the pilgrimage to Mecca once in a lifetime. Islam originated in Arabia in the 7th century and today has over 1.5 billion followers worldwide.

17. Fasting Ramadan
The month of Ramadan is ninth month of the
Muslims lunar calendar.
For 29 or 30 days, Muslims abstain from food and

19. Giving Zakat
Giving charity is an obligation upon all Muslims
