2. Highlights of Ph.D research work
Identification of miR-203 aberration and promoter methylation of
cell cycle regulatory genes (p16, p21) during the skin
tumorigenesis via modulation of micro RNA biogenesis (Dicer-1,
Ago-2) and epigenetic regulators (DNMT-1, HDAC-1).
Observation of K-Ras-PI3K-AKT pathway hyper activation
during skin tumorigenesis in association with aberration of
micro RNA like of miR-21, miR-20a, miR-211 and let-7a.
Identification of chemo-preventive potential of butyric acid,
nicotinamide and calcium glucarate against tumorigenesis via
modulation of epigenetic apoptotic and cell survival pathways.
3. Highlights of Post-doctoral research work
Field surveillance and identification of SNPs associated with
antifolate drug resistance in Plasmodium falciparum under
Mararia control program.
Sero-epidimological and molecular characterization of zoonotic
diseases like Scrub tyhus, Leptospirosis, CCHF and other
zoonotic diseases.
Genetic and health monitoring of small laboratory animals (Mice
and Rat), animal experimentation, and maintenance of records as
per CPCSEA norms, testing and validation of lab protocols and
other routine molecular.
Diagnosis and epidemiological characterization of Dengue,
Chikungunya, ZIKA and COVID-19, in this pandemic.
