Dr. Mahindra Gaikwad delivered a 6-hour seminar on research methodology at SHRI SAI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY. He explained that modern research must be customer-oriented, timely, and competitive. Dr. Gaikwad also emphasized the importance of fundamental research that can have long-term impacts over 100 years. In his examples of mobile phones and Fourier transforms, he illustrated how past research has enabled major technological advances. Principal Dr. Agrawal encouraged the faculty to focus on research goals that benefit society.

SHRI SAI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, Bhadrawati Organized seminar on research
methodology under faculty development program delivered by Honorable Dr. Mahindra A Gaikwad ,
Principal BDCE , Sevagram and presided over by Honorable Principal of SSCET Dr. J F Agrawal. On this
occasion all respective Head of Departments with their faculties were prominently present and
participated in the Seminar.
•
With various examples Dr. Gaikwad lucidly guided over research domain. He explained present
research scenario which differs from research carried out in earlier days. He briefed present research
development is customer oriented, customer driven and is carried out in cut throat competition in a
stipulated period of time which is challenging.
•
In his six hour seminar, he lighted over tools and methodology to carry out research and solve
problem. Giving the example of mobile phone and present GSM and CDMA technology, Dr. Gaikwad
explained the three important aspects of present research which is Integration of services,
miniaturization and Energy Conservation. He emphasized the need of fundamental research for the
development which must have impact over 100 years. Giving the example of Fourier transform, which
was proposed by Joseph Fourier 150 year ago, he explained feasibility of Fourier transform to resolve
major complex problem in the field of signal processing and communications, circuit designing and
other advance field of engineering and technology.

Dr. Agrawal in the inaugural function addressed the faculties to concentrate on goal and appealed to
put consistent efforts in the direction of chosen domain of research with the sense of perseverance
and responsibility for the benefit and well being of society and nation. On this occasion Dr. Agrawal
felicitated Dr. Gaikwad and applauded for his contribution in the field of education and research.
