Risk assessment
There are two types of risks that my group and I will have to ensure
we do not breach. One type of risk is risk to the company other risks
include physical risks- these can include risks to the actors and
continuity of the weather which we are going to have to watch
continually as we don’t want it to look different when it is the same
scene. Risks to the company is that it will not make money at the box
office- this then may not return money to the actors therefore
leading to a big flop when it goes to the box office.
Company Risks include
- Unsuccessful marketing- have to ensure continuity whilst
editing as this is a big factor as if it looks different conditions
this may look silly and therefore this will lead to people not
wanting to watch our film. This isn’t really a risk for the film but
this is a risk for our deadline, as we may not have time to re-
film.
- Fully financing our film- we need to ensure that we make a
good trailer which is believable but which is on budget. It needs
to be believable so people will want to go and see our film at
the box office. We need to ensure that it looks professional and
thus leading to being believable. We need to ensure we make
good use of the location features in which we are filming. We
need to ensure our costumes look realistic and not go too much
into money as this will eat into the profits we make in the box
office.
Personal and physical risks
- Medical/ incidental- accidents could happen during the day
whilst filming this then can lead to the actors not being able to
go on. We need to ensure we take every precaution in order for
2. this not to happen. Something small of just simply tripping over
can set our filming back so we are going to have to take every
precaution in order for this not to happen. If the actor has to
be replaced then this would lead to the filming process having
to start over again which would lead to timing of box office
date as we may have release it when more competitive films
come along. To ensure this doesn’t happen we will have back
up actors so filming can commence almost immediately
- Continuity- certain conditions may affect this. The weather,
costumes are a vital component to ensure clear continuity. We shall
film the film mostly in dark so the weather doesn’t really effect the
continuity.
