How to Enhance Your Photography Skills?
Now that you have bought your Digital SLR, and have captured some pics and are still
enthusiastic to take more beautiful shots, but don’t know how to go to that next level?
How to take pictures in manual mode? Then there is a little amount of learning that
we want to provide for your benefit.
There are 3 major settings for manual mode in DSLR photography. What you have to
control in your camera is ISO, Aperture, as well as Shutter Speed. All of these 3
options can be controlled to provide you an enhanced image; however with a bit of
training you can set these 3 settings appropriately for your situation.
ISO
It is the extent of light as well as color that will be written to your image in any
provided time. A low ISO would be 100 and at this setting it takes an extended time to
get the image written to the camera. An ISO of 1600 in contrast will not take as long to
write an image to the camera, however as it is trying to write so fast, it means that you
will not have the great shade and excellence that you would have at 100.

Aperture
It is the size that lens opens to capture an image. An aperture of 2.8 would be
extremely large and would let a lot of light in compared to an aperture of 32 which
would provide you a very small lens opening. The other thing to know about it is that
the lower number will provide you a lot smaller focus size, you get familiar with this
once you see an image where the model is in focus, however the foreground as well as
background is out of focus? That is done with an Aperture of 1.4 or 1.8 and if you
want the whole thing to be in focus, then you will require Aperture of 32.
Shutter speed
This is quite simple. It is the amount of time that your shutter is actually open. The
time that you would require for the shutter to open can range from 30 seconds in the
complete dark to 1/4000 of a second for a sunny and snowy day. To keep a photo in
focus you should have the shutter speed very fast 1/60th of a second or less, however,
depending on whether your subject is moving or not.

Controlling your camera
It means that you are supposed to assess the conditions to capture a picture based on
the extent of light, the subject you are taking pictures of as well as the range of focus
desired. You are able to always control 2 of the settings, however not the third or your
photograph will be either underexposed or overexposed (to dark or to light).
