What wentwell?
WhenplanningmytaskI initiallythoughtitwouldbe challengingtogetall the shotsto line upand
the transitionsbetweenthe roomchangesandclotheschanges.While filmingIwasconsciousof the
lightingandpositionof actorsandobjectsinthe frame.Thispaidoff wheneditingbecause
transitionswere smoothandthe shotreverse shotworkedwell.I’mhappywithmymatchonaction
technique throughthe door,Ispenta while editingthe movementtothe correct position.AlsoIlike
the range of shotsI have and the effectithas onmy projectbecause it addshumourand alsoshows
the emotionof the actors perfectlyforexample inthe blackandwhite scene.
Evenbetterif?
One of the firstshotsgoesout of focusslightly,itdoesn’thave aneffectonthe story,buthas a
negative effectonthe viewingexperience.Nexttime Ishouldbe more mindfulof myshotfocus,
makingsure to checkbefore andduringfilmingthatthe correctpart of the shotis infocus. Alsonext
time whenfilmingthe shotreverse shottechnique Ishouldmake sure the cameradoesn’tangle
downat the actors, it shouldbe a level horizontal shotoverthe shoulderandintothe opposite
actor’s face.Thisisimportantbecause otherwiseitcutsof the topsof headswhichdoesn’tlook
goodwhenwatchingthe project.Italsohas the effectof givingsomeone unintentional ‘’high
ground’’
