Short slides-based book proposal for "Our Life in Lists of 30." This is the 2nd book in the "Life in Lists of 30" memoir series written by Clemens Wan.
As I’m on post 825+ in my blog www.listsof30.com , there’s certainly enough lists of 30 content to cover more major topics that coincide with the overall phases of life.
I am an author and enthusiastic writer about life's adventures. My writings have evolved from early career, travel, and 30 day challenges into blockchain, parenting, and relationships. I’ve become less addicted to social media posting, but you may see toddler or food pictures now and again. (Yes, I went to Fyre Festival.)

3. My Life in Lists of 30
I wrote “My Life in Lists of 30” in my
20s and published it in Aug 2015 (Buy it
on Amazon) right before getting
married in October. The preview of the
book was how I proposed to my now
wife.
As I’m on post 825+ in my blog
www.listsof30.com , there’s certainly
enough lists of 30 content to cover
more major topics that coincide with
the overall phases of life in a weird
memoir form.
4. In Clemens’ “Act II” of life, he has
continued using the methodology and
routine of writing lists of 30 to stay curious
about new topics.
This is the sequel to the memoir of “My
Life in Lists of 30” in the “Life in Lists of 30”
Series.
This book is written as a mash-up of lists
of 30 that tells the story of Clemens’ 30s as
he transforms into the suburban Dad he
had once avoided.
TL;DR: Relationships are hard; Parenting
is harder. Loving others truly requires
sacrifice and suffering.
Relevance
What you will Learn
● Writing full lists of 30 are still fun, productive, and
frustrating (in a good and hopefully addictive way)
● The value of decentralization is more than just NFTs and
DAOs
● Public blog publishing gets Clemens into trouble with
planning wedding ideas and early days of parenting
● Clemens is still obsessed with lists of 30s
Review (as written by my wife)
After knowing Clemens for a decade, I can say that he is
truly consistent with his systems and formats. The lists of
30 represent his research, thought process, stream of
consciousness, and neurotic productive behavior. Even
though he has self proclaimed titles of being a
technology philosopher and solutions architect, I believe
he is a writer at heart. If you don't know him, this
pseudo-autobiography with another batch of lists of 30
will definitely give you a glimpse of the man I love. I can’t
wait to write more lists with him.

I blog: www.listsof30.com
I am an author and enthusiastic writer about life's adventures.
My writings have evolved from early career, travel, and 30 day
challenges into blockchain, parenting, and relationships. I’ve
become less addicted to social media posting, but you may see

For my day job, I’ve been in the blockchain/cryptocurrency
space since 2014 as a technical solution architect. On the side, I
continue building with the latest technology around Generative
AI and AR/VR applications.

8. Summary Pt 1
“Make sure you’re happy with
yourself and you’ll find someone else
that can be happy with you.”
“Achievements can happen without
planning, but they don’t happen
without intention and definition. ”
“The core ethos of the work that I’ve
devoted most of my professional
career into is decentralization.”
Why More Lists of 30?
Write lists of 30. Don’t write lists of 30. It works for me, so it might work for you. I’m not trying
to tell you how to live your life. It brings me joy. I’ve weaved it into my identity and my system
of analysis and processing. This chapter shares my 30 Principles for writing lists of 30.
Adolescent Career
When you work on things for longer, you just get better at them and learn from the
experts before you. I thought there was a magical switch that made me into a
professional, but I guess it was a gradual growth into a deeper role with more
responsibility. My adolescent career was a search for leveraging all my superpowers and
surrounding myself with exceptional people.
Decentralization
This chapter could have been shilling blockchains and cryptocurrency, but I wanted to share
some of the enterprise blunders throughout the journey. The technology still has its place,
but it will likely cost more than what people expect because it blends an economic model of
incentives with a tech concept of efficiency. If this didn’t make much sense, feel free to skip
this chapter.
9. Summary Pt 2
“The clock ticks. The heart spoke and
I listened.”
“A big part of adulting involves
listening to podcasts. Don’t ask me
why, but it’s true.”
“Parenting is hard. Much harder
than adulting. I’ve felt more love
because of the suffering.”
“I love fatherhood. It takes up a lot of
time and resources, but I feel my cup
of love is always overflowing. ”
Married Life
It was actually quite easy being single. The independence part came easy when you grew up
being the help. I didn’t realize how hard it’d be growing and changing with someone else...
forever. Even as best friends, we all get lonely and show our greatest insecurities. Who knew
a wedding would be stressful, expensive, and incredibly fun. Best day of my life.
Random Adulting
If I were to do it all over again, I’d do more random adulting without a child. We were just
having the time of our lives with travel and establishing a foundation. I had so much time, I
spent 4 months doing a new random action every day. Those were the days.
Parenting Life
Becoming a father activated all a sense of humor and dad bod I didn’t know was in my
destiny. I know no other way of living now. This chapter describes some of the research I did
when expecting, but none of it prepared me for the sleepless nights and hallucination
through the fourth trimester. Luckily, it was all just a phase and it has continued to get
better.
