Raphael Neuhaus
born on 11th September 1991
Raphael Neuhaus led the intermediate seminar of KulturLife’s weltwärts-programme in
Sanya, China, from the 26th
to the 31st
December 2013.
KulturLife gGmbH is a sending organisation which specialises in international programmes
for teenagers and young adults. We organise high school stays, volunteer programmes,
internships abroad and homestays all over the world.
The programme weltwärts is a volunteer service based on the principles of development
policy which allows young Germans aged 18 to 28 to experience 12 months of volunteering
in non-European countries. Within this programme, volunteers are expected to participate in
a total of 25 seminar days. The programme is funded by the BMZ (German Federal Ministry
for Economic Cooperation and Development).
Taking on the leading role, Raphael Neuhaus prepared the entire content of the seminar.
This means that working alongside Mr Peters, one of his seminar colleagues, Mr Neuhaus
assumed responsibility for the seminar’s conceptual work. Together with Mr Peters, Mr
Neuhaus also took over organisational tasks, such as preparing materials, organising
catering as well as an appropriate location for the seminar.
Alongside Mr Peters and a further Chinese colleague, Mr Neuhaus was responsible for
eleven participants completing their volunteer service at Greenway China.
