(NG) The Diplomatic Council—a global think tank which has consultative status
with the UN—opened a new mission in Luxembourg last week.
The inauguration took place at Cercle Munster on April 14, with the Diplomatic
Council's CEO, Andreas Dripke, and its Secretary General, Hang Nguyen, joining
the event. Around 60 participants attended the launch.
The Luxembourg association will be headed by its new president, Francis
Hoogewerf, who set up BDO Luxembourg and is also a founding member of the
Luxembourg-Russian Business Chamber, China-Lux and the Spanish Chamber
of Commerce. Noelle van Lonkhuyzen, an entrepreneur and coach with 26 years'
experience in the financial sector, was named vice president for the local
chapter.
"With all our strength, we shall endeavour to promote global business relations,
to encourage international understanding, to enhance intercultural exchanges,
to gain economic prosperity in order to achieve peace and prosperity for all
people all over the world, irrespective of their race, religion, gender or social
status," Nguyen said.
