This document discusses a study examining the relationship between bacterial vaginosis and vaginal candidiasis in women. The study analyzed vaginal samples from 100 women over six months, diagnosing both conditions. The results showed that vaginal candidiasis was more common in women without bacterial vaginosis, suggesting the bacterial imbalance in bacterial vaginosis may protect against candidiasis. In other words, vaginal candidiasis was less frequent in women with bacterial vaginosis compared to women with normal vaginal flora.
