This research project investigates the prevalence of sickle cell anaemia in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, focusing on children aged 3-7 years. It includes definitions, causes, symptoms, and prevention methods, utilizing questionnaires and interviews for data collection. The findings indicate that sickle cell anaemia is a significant concern within the community, with recommendations made for addressing the issue.

ABSTRACT
This research work has provide a wide range of information with regard to the
prevalence of sickle cell anaemia, a case study of jos north local government area,
‘plateau state, the sudy covered the meaning sources, sign and symptoms, prevention of
sickle cell anaemia in children between the age of 3-7yrs to investigate the study,
questionnaire and interview schedule were administered to the sampled respondents. The
collected was analysed and finding of the nevealed the prevalence of sickle cell anaemia
is a menance to the doctors, nurses, couples, parents patients carriers (ss) and
community in general however useful recommendation on how to tackle the sickle cell
anaemia or disease were also suggested by the researchers.
