major fast food chain.

• There has been some ups and downs with the success of the business as of late, but being an
established domestic and international presence has kept the business in the black.
• They have over 6000 outlets worldwide.
• “In 2015, there was 5,090 franchised and 632 company owned Wendy’s restaurants in the United

• Jack in the Box was founded in 1951 and is a billion-dollar company in the fast food
industry.
• They have over 2000 locations and are domestically located with the only exception
being a location in Guam.
• Fun fact about them, they own the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest
coupon.
• On another note, they have seen the ups, and some devastating downs. Another fun
fact that they’ve contributed to the fast food organization may surprise some.
• The concept of a drive through had already been around, and so had the two-way
intercom to place orders. But Jack in the Box was the first to incorporate both into the
fast food experience.
