Project: Exploiting Ubiquitous Data Collection for Mobile Users in
Wireless Sensor Networks
Environment: Network Simulator 2 on RedHat Linux OS
Summary: In this work, the ubiquitous data collection in wireless
sensor networks is studied which enables the mobile users to access the
network-wide data from anywhere and anytime along their walks. A new
protocol known as Ubiquitous Data Collection (UDC) protocol is proposed for
mobile users to collect the data from wide network. As the mobile user moves,
the routing structure of data collection (tree) is additively updated. Here, a
little modification is done to the existing data collection tree while the routing
execution is bounded and controlled with regard to the optimal value.
Project: SMS Controlled Vehicle Parking System
Environment: C # Dot Net
Summary: This project we proposed an Infrared sensor based
parking slot allocation system, wherein an intended user is informed about
the parking slot availability at a particular parking mall via Short Messaging
Service (SMS). The slot availability details are collected using an IR sensor
system and are updated periodically into a server via port Interface.
The project was awarded as the “Best project of the year”.
