Carrefour is a France multinational retailer. Opened the first Hypermarket store in
1963 in Paris. Till now operates in more than 30 countries in Europe, the Americas,
Asia and Africa. It is one of the largest Hypermarket chains in the world with
12,300 stores.

are prohibition of use as refrigerant for new build of AC , refrigeration…..
Current year HFCs import volume over 500T including HFC-410A , HFC-134a,
HFC-32, HFC-125, and HFC -410A are increasing year by year

6. Carrefour refrigeration steps
•1989 to 2005, system with R22 refrigerant
•Implemented massive horizontal type cabinets
•2005 to now , started to replace system with R410a refrigerant
•Changed to vertical type refrigeration to gain more display space
•2014 to now 85% of stores added doors for positive cabinet for energy saving

7. Finding & expectation
•Still high ratio of system with CFCs refrigerant need replace , 2020
•Which refrigerants are more suitable for next replacement
•We need solution in terms of stability, capex investment,
supply steadiness, pressurization design.

8. Moveable cabinet
• 2010 to 2018 , adopted moveable cabinet as island display with R404a refrigerant
• More flexibility for business model and promotion image.
• 2018 till now , purchased 50pcs R290 cabinet and replace existing gradually
• Successful adoption with heat releasing , low noise and less electricity consumption
as we compared with previous option.
• consider to fix certain ratio with system to replace current moveable cabinet
concept.

•looking for a model able to offer more visibly for customers
•Cabinet with chiller and freezer function for flexibility usage
•Energy saving concern
•Equipment consensual
•More strong wheel design
