He is a Russian volleyball player, honored master of sports, doigrovschik Krasnodar "Dynamo" and the Russian national team. Yiriy Berezhko is a champion of the Games of the XXX Olympiad in London.
- 3. • Without any exaggeration I am proud of the fact that Yury Berezhko was born and raised in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and started playing in the local sports school number 32 under the guidance of his father, Viktor Fedorovych Berezhko. • Later he continued his volleyball education in Yaroslavl, where he moved at the age of 16. • In the summer of 2004 he signed • a contract with the Moscow club "Dynamo“.

Today he is coaching boys in the village Pogranichniy, Prymorsky region. Region, where I live. Without any hesitation, I am proud of my countrymen. They show everyone that sport is and must be an essential part of our life. • It makes us strong and healthy. That is why I decided to devote my spare time not to playing computer games or chatting in the internet but to healthy way of life. I want to play as good as Yiriy Berezhko does. He is a very good example for me. Sport is his life and mine too. •
