Repentance Revisited: A Brief Study of the Book of JonahAlwyn Lau
The document discusses the biblical story of Jonah and Nineveh. It provides context from the book of Jonah, explaining that Jonah initially fled from God's command to preach to Nineveh because it was a wicked city. When a storm arose, Jonah admitted his disobedience and was thrown overboard, where he was swallowed by a great fish. After being spit out, Jonah obeyed God and went to Nineveh, preaching that the city would be overturned in 40 days. The entire city believed God and declared a fast in repentance, showing more piety than Jonah. The document examines what Jonah's problem was in disobeying and his indifference, as well as lessons about how just
Jonah was instructed by God to preach to the people of Nineveh, but fled by boat to avoid this task. A huge storm arose and the sailors discovered Jonah was to blame, throwing him overboard where he was swallowed by a large fish. After three days, the fish spit Jonah onto land, whereupon he fulfilled God's command and preached repentance to Nineveh, causing the entire city to repent of their sins.
Prophet Noah preached monotheism to his people but they refused to believe. God commanded Noah to build an ark, and when a flood came, Noah and believers were saved on the ark while unbelievers drowned. Archaeological evidence from ancient Mesopotamian cities like Ur, Erech, Kish and Shuruppak indicate layers of mud and debris deposited by a catastrophic flood, supporting the biblical narrative of Noah's flood as a localized historical event in Mesopotamia.
The Lord commands Jonah to go preach against the wicked city of Nineveh. However, Jonah runs away from God by boarding a ship to Tarshish. God sends a great storm that endangers the ship. When the sailors discover through casting lots that Jonah is responsible, they throw him overboard, calming the sea. God then provides a huge fish to swallow Jonah, where he remains for three days and nights.
Prophet Yunus (AS) / Jonah (PBUH) was sent to preach the people of Nineveh. However people rejected him and didn't accept his call. Yunus (AS) left his people telling them that the punishment of Allah (SWT) will come upon them in 3 days. Yunus (AS) left his people although Allah had not yet commanded him to do so, when the Prophet boarded the ship; soon the sky drew dark and there was a terrible storm. Yunus (AS) understood it was because he left without the permission of Allah (SWT). People drew lots and whoever name appears must jump from the ship so that the ship doesn't drown because of overweight. Yunus (AS) name came and he jumped from the ship and Allah commanded a big fish to swallow him. In the belly of the fish, Yunus (AS) sincerely repented to Allah and his Tawbah was accepted. Allah ordered the fish to vomit Yunus (AS) on the shore. Yunus (AS) went back to his people and saw that all accepted his message when he left because of the warning he gave them about the punishment of Allah.
Dua of Yunus (AS)
لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِين
"There is no god (worthy of worship) except You. Glory be to You! I have certainly done wrong.”
[Surah Anbiya 87-88]
Yunus (AS) was a prophet sent by Allah to tell people to only worship Allah as the one true God. When the people did not listen, Yunus (AS) left in anger. He got on a ship that encountered trouble at sea, and Yunus (AS) was swallowed by a large fish. Inside the fish's stomach, Yunus (AS) prayed to Allah for forgiveness for his anger. Allah heard his prayer and caused the fish to release Yunus (AS) unharmed.
1) Jesus is crucified and dies after being mocked and insulted. During his death, there is an earthquake and the temple curtain is torn.
2) Jesus cries out asking why God has forsaken him before giving up his spirit.
3) Those witnessing Jesus' death are terrified and declare him to be the Son of God.
Prophet Nuh (a) was sent by Allah to guide people who worshipped idols to the one true God, but most people did not believe him. When they threatened Nuh (a), Allah commanded him to build an ark. Though the disbelievers mocked the ark, soon heavy rains came as punishment from Allah. Nuh (a) and believers boarded the ark with animal pairs, while the disbelievers drowned, including Nuh's son who refused to board. After 40 days, the waters receded and Nuh's group disembarked on a mountain to rebuild their lives in faith of Allah.
The document summarizes the biblical story of Jonah, who is called by God to preach to the city of Nineveh but initially refuses and flees by ship. When a big storm arises, Jonah tells the sailors to throw him overboard to calm the sea. He is swallowed by a large fish and after three days prays to God. He goes to Nineveh and preaches repentance, and the entire city turns to God. However, Jonah is angry and displeased that God spared the city. God teaches Jonah about mercy through a parable using a plant. The story of Jonah points to Jesus' greater mission to save humanity despite their sins.
The document summarizes chapters 1 and 4 of the story of Jonah from the Bible. It describes how God called Jonah to preach to Nineveh but he disobeyed and fled by ship. A big storm arose and the sailors discovered Jonah was to blame. Jonah knew he must be thrown overboard to calm the sea. The sailors did so and the sea became calm, leaving them in awe of God's power over nature.
The document describes a revelation that Rev. Samuel Doctorian had on the island of Patmos, Greece in June 1998. He saw five angels who gave him messages about the five continents. The angels predicted disasters, wars, famines, earthquakes and other judgments coming to each continent. However, they also foretold spiritual awakenings and revivals. Rev. Doctorian was shaken by the visions but knew he had to share what he witnessed.
The document provides an analysis of the Book of Jonah structured as a chiasm. It highlights how the chiasm draws attention to the central theme of God's saving mercy in the face of Jonah's disobedience. Specifically, it contrasts Jonah's indifference with the pagan sailors' compassion for Jonah. It also analyzes Jonah 1:3-16, noting Jonah's downward movement representing his spiritual state, and how the passage illustrates the key theme of fear through the different responses of Jonah and the sailors.

This World ruler has the authority over the realm of the air, ( TV, RADIO, INTERNET) is HaSatan who broadcasts direct to our senses ,
TV being the most devious of all.
HaSatan will not destroy all humanity on the face of the Earth.
And unless those days had been shortened by YiHVVeH, there would not have any flesh been saved, but due to the selected, which He chose, those days shall be shortened.

But ’Âthâ´m and Chauwâ´h cried for having come out of the garden, their first home. And indeed, when ’Âthâ´m looked at his flesh, that was altered, he cried bitterly, he and Chauwâ´h, over what they had done. And they walked and went gently down into the Cave of Treasures. And as they came to it, ’Âthâ´m cried over himself and said to Chauwâ´h,
“Look at this cave that is to be our prison in this world, and a place of punishment!

So then subject yourselves to Elohi. Resist the devil and he shall flee from you. Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose? Does the Spirit which dwells in us intensely crave unto envy? But He gives greater favour. Because of this He says, “Elohiym resists the proud, but gives favour to the humble. Draw near to Elohiym and He shall draw near to you. Cleanse hands, sinners. And cleanse the hearts, you double-minded! Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to dejection. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Master, and He shall lift you up.
This document discusses theological concepts related to God, sin, Satan, and judgment. It references biblical passages and quotes from Jesus. The key points are:
1) Satan was originally a chief messenger of God but was corrupted by sin and pride, desiring to be like God. He misled Eve and introduced sin to humanity.
2) Jesus saw Satan falling from heaven like lightning. He came to convict the world of sin and righteousness. His death destroyed Satan who had power over death.
3) There will be a final judgment where Satan and his messengers will be defeated and bound for 1000 years, and his rule over the world will be ended. God's servants are called to repent, believe,
And you were dead in trespasses and which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience
That ruler is HaSatan the god of this world, and he will use any media ( TV, Radio, Internet, images) TV evangelists, to bring disobedience to the written word. Man made religion is that just what it is HaSatan false teachings
With Elyon making an inheritance of the nations,
with his dividing apart the sons of human,
he will make the borders of the peoples stand up to the number of the sons of Yisra'eyl
given that the distribution of YHVVH is his people, Ya'aqov is the region of his inheritance.
The line between “Righteous and Unrighteous” is becoming blurred, our Sins are reaching the heavens and stink of death and decay. There are but a few true followers of according to scriptures

HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS
This document discusses biblical prophecies about the end times and the blurring of distinctions between righteousness and unrighteousness. It notes that when the sixth bowl is poured out in Revelation, drying up the Euphrates River, this symbolizes the removal of the boundary between righteous and unrighteous, paving the way for the return of the Messiah. It warns that in the last days, people will call evil good and good evil, and false prophets will mislead many, as biblical prophecies are fulfilled.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

1. YUNAH
The Ruakh of
has spoken through me,
And His word is on my tongue
THE BOOK OF YUNAH
One day YHVVH said to the prophet Yunah son of Amittai, “I have seen
how wicked the people are who live in the great city of Ninuah.
Therefore go there and warn the people that I am planning to destroy
their city because of their sins.” But instead of going to Ninuah, Yunah
went in the direction of the city of Tarshish, to get away from YHVVH. He
went down to the city of Yafu. There he paid the money to travel on a
ship that was going to the city of Tarshish, and he got on.
2. He is betrayed by a tempest
Then he went down to a lower deck, lay down, and went to sleep. But
YHVVH caused a very strong wind to blow, and there was such a violent
storm that the sailors thought that the ship would break apart. The
sailors were very frightened. Because of that, they each started to pray to
their own mighty ones to save them. Then they threw the cargo into the
sea to make the ship lighter so that it would not sink easily. Then the
captain went down to where Yunah was sleeping soundly. He awoke him
and said to him, “How can you sleep during a storm like this? Get up and
pray to your mighty ones! Perhaps he will pity us and save us, so that we
will not drown!” Then the sailors said to each other, “We need to cast
lots, to determine who has caused all this trouble!” So they did that, and
the lot indicated Yunah. So various ones of them asked him, “Who is the
one who has caused us all this trouble?” “What work do you do?” “Where
are you coming from?” “What country and what people do you belong
to?”
Yunah replied, “I am a Hebrew. I worship YHVVH ELOHIYM, who lives in
heaven. He is the one who made the sea and the land.
I am running away from YHVVH, he is the one who called me to be a
prophet.” After the sailors heard that, they were terrified. So they said to
him, “Do you realize what trouble you have caused?”
thrown into the sea
The storm kept getting worse and the waves kept getting bigger. So one
of the sailors asked Yunah, “What should we do with you in order to
make the sea become calm for us?”He replied, “Pick me up and throw
me into the sea. If you do that, it will become calm for you. I know that
this terrible storm happened because I did not do what YHVVH told me
to do.” But the sailors did not want to do that. Instead, they tried hard to
row the ship back to the land. But they could not do that, because the
storm continued to get worse. Therefore they prayed to YHVVH, and one
of them prayed, “O YHVVH, please do not say we are guilty if we make
this human die; please do not kill us. O YHVVH, you have done what you
wanted to do.” Then they picked Yunah up and threw him into the sea.
3. Then the sea became calm. When that happened, the sailors became
greatly awed at YHVVH’s power. So they offered a sacrifice to YHVVH,
and they strongly promised him that they would do things that would
please him.
and swallowed by a fish
While they were doing that, YHVVH sent a huge fish that swallowed
Yunah. Then Yunah was inside the fish for three days and three nights.
The prayer of Yunah
While he was inside the huge fish, Yunah prayed to YHVVH ELOHIYM,
whom he worshiped. Yunah said, “YHVVH, when I was greatly distressed
here, I prayed to you, and you heard what I prayed. When I was about to
descend way down into the place where dead people go, you heard me
when I called out for you to help me. You threw me down into the deep
water, into the bottom of the sea. The currents you made in the sea
swirled around me, and the huge waves crashed above me. Then I
thought, ‘You have banished me, and I will never be able to enter your
presence again. But in spite of what you do to me, one day I will again
see your holy temple in Yerushaliyim!’The water surrounded me and
almost drowned me. Seaweed was wrapped around my head. I sank
down to where the mountains start rising from the bottom of the sea. I
thought that forever it would be as though my body would be in a
prison inside the earth below me. But you, YHVVH ELOHIYM, whom I
worship, rescued me from going down to the place of the dead! When I
was almost dead, YHVVH, I thought about you. You heard my prayer, up
there where you are, in your Sacred temple. All those who worship
worthless idols are rejecting you, the one who could act faithfully toward
them. But I will sing to thank you, and I will offer a sacrifice to you. I will
surely do what I have solemnly promised to do. YHVVH, you are the one
who is able to save us.”
He is delivered out of the belly of the fish
Then YHVVH commanded the huge fish to vomit out Yunah, and the fish
vomited out Yunah onto the dry land.
4. Yunah, sent again, preaches to the Ninevites
1 Then YHVVH said to Yunah again, “Go to that huge city of Ninuah, and
tell them the message that I gave you previously.” So this time Yunah
obeyed YHVVH, and he went to Ninuah. That city was very big. A person
had to walk for three days to completely go through it. 4 When Yunah
arrived, he began walking through the city for one day. Then he started
to proclaim to the people, “Forty days from now, Ninuah will be
destroyed!”
Upon their repentance
The people of Ninuah believed YHVVH message. They all decided that
everyone should begin fasting. So everyone, including all the important
people and all the unimportant people, did that. They also put on coarse
cloth, to show that they were sorry for having sinned. The king of Ninuah
heard about Yunah’s message. So he took off his royal robes, and he also
put on coarse cloth. He left his throne and sat down where there were
cold ashes, to show that he also was sorry for having sinned. Then he
sent messengers to proclaim to the people in Ninuah: “My advisors and I
have decreed that no one may eat or drink anything. Do not even allow
your animals to eat or drink. Instead, every person must put on coarse
cloth. Put coarse cloth on your animals, too. Then everyone must pray
fervently to „ YHVVH ELOHIYM.“ And everyone must stop doing evil
actions, and stop acting violently toward others. Perhaps, if everyone
does that, YHVVH may change his mind and be merciful to us, and stop
being very angry with us. If that happens, we will not die.”
YHVVH repents
When they all did that, YHVVH saw what they were doing, and he saw
that they had stopped doing evil actions. So he pitied them, and he did
not get rid of them as he had threatened to do.
Yunah repining at YHVVH's mercy
But Yunah felt that it was very bad that YHVVH had not destroyed
Ninuah. He became very angry.
5. He prayed to YHVVH, “O, YHVVH,
what you have done is just what I thought that you would do even
before I left home. The reason I ran away to go to Tarshish was to stop
this very thing from happening, because I knew that you act very kindly
and compassionately toward all people. You do not quickly become
angry with people who do evil. You love people very much, and you
change your mind about punishing people who sin. So now, O YHVVH,
since you will not destroy Ninuah as you said you would, please allow me
to die, because now it would be better for me to die than to continue to
live.”
is reproved by the type of a gourd
YHVVH replied, “Is it right for you to be angry that I did not destroy the
city?”
Yunah did not reply. He went out of the city to the east side of it. He
made a small shelter in order that he could sit under it and be protected
from the sun. He sat under the shelter and waited to see what would
happen to the city. Then YHVVH ELOHIYM caused a vine to grow up
immediately to shade Yunah’s head from the sun and to save him from
his discomfort. Yunah was very happy about having the vine over his
head. But before dawn the next day, YHVVH sent a worm that chewed
the vine, with the result that the vine withered. Then, when the sun rose
high in the sky, YHVVH sent a very hot wind from the east, and the sun
shone very strongly on Yunah’s head, with the result that he felt faint. He
wanted to die, and he said, “It would be better for me to die than to
continue to live!” But YHVVH asked Yunah, “Is it right for you to be angry
about what happened to the vine?” Yunah replied, “Yes, it is right! Now I
am angry enough to die! ”But YHVVH said to him, “You were concerned
about that vine when I caused it to wither, even though you did not take
care of it, and you did not make it grow. It just grew up during one night
and it completely withered at the end of the next night. But there are
more than 120,000 people in Ninuah, that huge city, who cannot tell
right from wrong, and there are also many cattle. So is it not right for me
to be concerned about those people, and not want to destroy them?”

I write has the raukh moves me, not looking for dissention among the
true brethren (Nätzräya) nor by the man-made religion of the world their
opinion to me is nothing,
I serve the Almighty One
And the dragon was enraged with the woman (assembly), and he went
to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands
of Elohiym and possessing the witness of YHVVHsva
HaMessiakh.
I fail miserably yet it is all I know, I ran away many times from the father,
filled my answers with excuses, but I know,
I seek out the true Nätzräya according to scriptures, beginning with His
Sacred Calendar, endorsed by the scriptures, no one said it will be easy,
yet His reign is where my treasure is, I walk the way of the heretic, not
conforming to mans – made- god,
One thing I have learned we must read in the Hebrew perspective, not
modern-day teachings, the writings of the Nätzräiym, our modern-day
bibles are filled with lies, deception, they do not speak the truth they
have drawn so many away from the living waters, the truth once
delivered to the saints
