The student learned several new technologies through creating their magazine project. They gained experience using a DSLR camera, learning how to operate it and take quality photos. Photoshop skills improved from past use in GCSE media, and the student learned new tools. School computers were necessary as they had the required software. Quark Xpress was also new but through working on the magazine, the student developed their skills and can now competently use many of its features.
