4. ” فَغَمَّ ذَلِكَ يُونَانَ غَمّاً شَدِيداً فَاغْتَاظَ . وَصَلَّى إِلَى الرَّبِّ : « آهِ يَا رَبُّ أَلَيْسَ هَذَا كَلاَمِي إِذْ كُنْتُ بَعْدُ فِي أَرْضِي؟ لِذَلِكَ بَادَرْتُ إِلَى الْهَرَبِ إِلَى تَرْشِيشَ ، لأَنِّي عَلِمْتُ أَنَّكَ إِلَهٌ رَؤوفٌ وَرَحِيمٌ بَطِيءُ الْغَضَبِ وَكَثِيرُ الرَّحْمَةِ وَنَادِمٌ عَلَى الشَّرِّ .“ ( يون 4 : 1 ، 2) “ But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry . So he prayed to the LORD, and said, " Ah, LORD, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm . (Jon 4 : 1 , 2)
5. ” أَفَلاَ أَشْفَقُ أَنَا عَلَى نِينَوَى الْمَدِينَةِ الْعَظِيمَةِ الَّتِي يُوجَدُ فِيهَا أَكْثَرُ مِنِ اثْنَتَيْ عَشَرَةَ رَبْوَةً مِنَ النَّاسِ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْرِفُونَ يَمِينَهُمْ مِنْ شِمَالِهِمْ وَبَهَائِمُ كَثِيرَةٌ !“ ( يون 4 : 11) " And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left - and much livestock? " (Jon 4 : 11)
6. يا للعجب ... إن محبة ربنا الغير محدودة جعلت يونان يغتم غماً شديداً من كتر طول اناته و رحمته . أما أنا فلن أغتم بل سأفرح جداً ... لأن في هذا خلاصى لأنى لست نبياً كيونان و انما انا خاطئ جداً كأهل نينوى . Oh, the wonder of love of God, so unlimited that it saddened Jonah, greatly to realize God’s mercy & patience. But as for me, I shall rejoice greatly because in that is my salvation. For I am not a prophet like Jonah… but I am a sinner like the people of Nineveh.
8. ” فَصَلَّى يُونَانُ إِلَى الرَّبِّ إِلَهِهِ مِنْ جَوْفِ الْحُوتِ . وَقَالَ : « دَعَوْتُ مِنْ ضِيقِي الرَّبَّ فَاسْتَجَابَنِي . صَرَخْتُ مِنْ جَوْفِ الْهَاوِيَةِ فَسَمِعْتَ صَوْتِي . ( يون 2 : 1 ، 2) “ Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the fish's belly . And he said : " I cried out to the LORD because of my affliction, And He answered me ." Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, And You heard my voice . (Jon 2 :1, 2)
9. ” فَقُلْتُ : قَدْ طُرِدْتُ مِنْ أَمَامِ عَيْنَيْكَ . وَلَكِنَّنِي أَعُودُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَى هَيْكَلِ قُدْسِكَ .“ ( يون 2 : 4) “ Then I said, 'I have been cast out of Your sight; Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple'. ” (Jon 2 : 4)
10. " When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple . ” (Jon 2 : 7) حِينَ أَعْيَتْ فِيَّ نَفْسِي ذَكَرْتُ الرَّبَّ فَجَاءَتْ إِلَيْكَ صَلاَتِي إِلَى هَيْكَلِ قُدْسِكَ . ( يون 2 : 7 )
11. و أنا أيضاً يا رب ... فاشل ... خاطئ ... وحيد ... منهار ... تعبان ... يائس ... ضعيف ... لكن مش ها تسيبني ... ها تقبلني ... هل تغيرني ... ها ترحمني ... ها اتحسن ... ها اتصلح ... Oh Lord, I am also a failure… a sinner… lonely… demoralized… weary…miserable…Weak… But You will not leave me… You will accept me… You will change me… You will be merciful to me… You will improve me… You will correct me.
13. ” فَآمَنَ أَهْلُ نِينَوَى بِاللَّهِ وَنَادُوا بِصَوْمٍ وَلَبِسُوا مُسُوحاً مِنْ كَبِيرِهِمْ إِلَى صَغِيرِهِمْ . وَبَلَغَ الأَمْرُ مَلِكَ نِينَوَى فَقَامَ عَنْ كُرْسِيِّهِ وَخَلَعَ رِدَاءَهُ عَنْهُ وَتَغَطَّى بِمِسْحٍ وَجَلَسَ عَلَى الرَّمَادِ . وَنُودِيَ فِي نِينَوَى عَنْ أَمْرِ الْمَلِكِ وَعُظَمَائِهِ : « لاَ تَذُقِ النَّاسُ وَلاَ الْبَهَائِمُ وَلاَ الْبَقَرُ وَلاَ الْغَنَمُ شَيْئاً . لاَ تَرْعَ وَلاَ تَشْرَبْ مَاءً . وَلْيَتَغَطَّ بِمُسُوحٍ النَّاسُ وَالْبَهَائِمُ وَيَصْرُخُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ بِشِدَّةٍ وَيَرْجِعُوا كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ طَرِيقِهِ الرَّدِيئَةِ وَ عَنِ الظُّلْمِ الَّذِي فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ . لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ يَعُودُ وَيَنْدَمُ وَيَرْجِعُ عَنْ حُمُوِّ غَضَبِهِ فَلاَ نَهْلِكَ ».“ ( يون 3 : 5 – 9) “ So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them . Then word came to the king of Nineveh; and he arose from his throne and laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth and sat in ashes . And he caused it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decreeof the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water . But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes, let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands . Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish? . ” (Jon 3 : 5 – 9)
14. و أنا أيضاً ... أشتهى أن أتوب ... و أصير انسان روحي ... و أرجع عن طرقي الرديئة ... و أنزل عن كرسي كرامتى و كبريائى ... و لا أذق من شهوات الجسد ما يتعبنى ... I also long to repent… & become a spiritual human being… and turn back from my wicked ways… And descend from the height of my pride & dignity… I will refrain from tasting the desires of the flesh…
15. أسمع صراخى يا سيدى ... و إلى صلاتى أمل أذنيك Oh my Lord, hear my cry… & incline your ear to my prayer
