1. You Need A Director Of Admissions If…
1. …at least 10% of annual budget income is coming from tuition paid by
new students.
2. …there are complaints from prospective families that information or
procedures are not clear.
3. …families with children eligible for entrance into different grade levels
are required to talk to more than one staff member in order to get
questions answered, to see classes in session or to complete
applications.
4. …the principal has been forced to make the choice between seeing a
family interested in admission and seeing a currently enrolled family
interested in solving a problem.
5. …it is difficult to continue a relationship with a prospective family
from one year to the next.
6. …it seems that no one person has sufficient time to arrange open
houses, visit feeder schools, revise admission publications and forms,
write newsletters, brochures and other marketing publications, and
develop next year's marketing plan.
7. …the school is under enrolled for the second year in a row.
If at least three of these statements apply to your school, you need an admissions director.
