Students are instructed to complete an observational drawing of a natural object using biro. They should present their drawings neatly in their sketchbook along with a title and writing about the drawings, referring to guidance in their book. Students should also research a black and white artist who uses tone from the provided Pinterest album, and print an image of their work at A5 size.

27th September
1. Complete a detailed observational drawing in biro
of a natural form object.
2. Present your two drawings (optional add your
continuous line drawings) on the next double page
of your sketchbook. Add a title (not to big) and
some writing about your two drawings (use the
‘How to write about Drawings and Photos’ sheet at
the back of your book for guidance). Remember
presentation is important so please do not rush this!
3. Research a ‘Black and White’ Artist (use the
Beaumont Art Pinterest album) and print an A5
image of their work. They must use tone to create
their work but can use a medium of your choice.
