Designed racking system and handling equipment for A, B and C products,
which has different shapes and sizes.
Designed storage areas, picking area, receiving area, shipping area, sortation
area based on the guidelines mentioned.
Selected 20 cities based on 2010 census population data. Established
Distribution Centre locations for the chosen cities.
Calculated the costs incurred in maintaining the central warehouse.
Recommended economic warehouse among 3 options.
Utilised Lean Management principles in the warehouse of the battery cell
manufacturing company (National Power Corporation).
Analysed current layout. Included lean management in the current procedure
and recommended in layout change.
The analysis was based on stress criteria and deflection criteria for aluminium
and titanium. The frame was simulated and analysed in Hypermesh.
The bike frame was modelled in Inventor. Static, Dynamic and Optistruct
analysis, Cost & Mass indexing were analysed on the bike frame.
The client was described in terms of people, machines & layouts. Time taken
for the food preparation were observed and production rates were observed.
Optimisation and automation of layout provided better productivity.
Percentage changes between earlier and modified layouts were illustrated.
Heat treatment of NiTi alloys and were characterized by EDS, SEM, XRD and
DSC equipment. Specimen was strain-controlled and loaded in cycles.
Super elastic behaviour was found at particular temperature and loading
cycle.
Aluminium and Copper were subjected to FSW. Analysis was carried out at
point of contact between tool and workpiece.
Microstructure of weld bead was examined and resulted in unsatisfactory
weld.
