Classroom Management
Training
Let’s talk about management
strategies
2. Purpose
• Educators must start with the end in mind. What
do you want to establish or achieve in your
classroom?
• What guidelines do you need to set to be
successful?
This lesson includes a list of suggested tasks and
strategies to follow.
4. Structure and Routines
Teachers must have a structured learning environment
to yield positive results. If there is no structure
students will not be engaged causing un wanted
classroom behaviors.
Teachers must set expectations from the very first day
of school.
5. Let’s talk about what’s expected
Expectations
Educators must
practice routines and
expectations to be
followed throughout
the school year.
Practice Expectations
Practicing procedures and routines will set the
expectation level for students.
Students should raise their hand before speaking
All students should walk in a single line quietly to and
from the classroom.
6. Classroom Organization
• The classroom should be arranged so that all students
are focused on instruction.
• Create a seating chart for students.
• Maintaining a clean and organized classroom so that
students know how to be prepared and organized.
7. Tone of Voice
The teacher’s tone of
voice is very important
when communicating
with students.
• Constant yelling will discourage students from paying
attention or listening to what is being taught.
• Professional should always speak in a manner that
will yield positive results.
• Remain calm and in control. Use non verbal
communication to reach students or get attention.
•
8. Student Comprehension
Teachers should always check for student understanding
by asking the class a question and then selecting a
student to answer.
