Economía feminista y soberanía alimentaria: Avances y desafíos.Oxfam Brasil
Empowering Migrants and Refugees - A competence-oriented career guidance tool...Bertelsmann Stiftung
This presentation gives an overview on national systems for validation of informal and non-formal learning in Europe and presents a tool for identification of competences in migrants and refugees – the Competence Cards. It was held at the EARLALL annual conference on May 12 of 2016 in Brussels during the workshop “Building up Regional Initiatives to Develop Guidance for low-skilled adults”.
After a short introduction the presentation outlines the validation process and core elements as well as quality criteria for any validation system. It then compares 8 European good practice examples. In a second part it describes the development and use of the Competence Cards. This is a tool that helps to identify competences and support the clearing situation at the beginning of any guidance process. The cards are modular, multi-lingual, contain a key visual illustrating the competence and further support for the guide. They come in a set with cards for interests and with templates for a documentation of the identified competences. The presentation provides a download link to the English version of the cards and a 10 minute instruction video for its use.

UNI-QM has developed a methodology for the lifelong learning quality management system called UNI-QM Framework for Quality Management which embeds a learning process into a self-improving approach. UNI-QM has developed a unique pathway to excellence lifelong learning centres as well as a full overview of a set of resources that accompanies people on their journey and to provide a better understanding of the framework. These resources are:
Case studies to give the user a direct approach to the topic, contributing to concrete experience and observation and reflection.
Processes and indicators: that will help the users to form abstracts concepts and to directly test those processes in new situations.
Benchmarking tools: to promote observation and reflection among users.
This document can be split up in 3 main parts. The first part aims mainly to outline what is understood by “Process Management “, to be able to identify key processes and describe them and their related procedures. The second one is focused on indicators and its specific objectives are to introduce the different categories of indicators associated with the EFQM model, to outline both a direct and indirect indicator model, and to describe perception and performance indicators from LLL Centre. The last part gives the Conclusions and recommendations made by the members of the UNI-QM project.
Building a scalable ePortfolio based assessment strategy to connect clinical ...ePortfolios Australia
The development of professional expertise in medicine requires a lifelong commitment to education. During university training medical students encounter a wide variety of practical experiences making it difficult for them to monitor and evaluate their development towards clinical competence. The use of an eportfolio to collate feedback about their assessed performance can assist in making clearer connections between these experiences and aid in the transition to novice practitioners. Over the past year the University of Queensland’s medical program has been refining their approach to assessment in the clinical learning environment and has trialled the use of an eportfolio to manage the delivery of workplace-based assessments (WBAs). This paper outlines the design stages undertaken as well as the roadblocks that have been navigated concluding with an overview of the key lessons that emerged during the early stages of eportfolio adoption.
