My name is Joseph P. Eichhorn I am working at Prefix Coatings. I work full time
and over time whenever I can. After I get off work, I go to ITT Tech full time three nights
a week for Electronic Engineering Technology. My favorite thing to do on my spare time
is play billiards. I also really enjoy playing video games.
I chose electronics as the career I want to go into because of my fascination for
how they work. I took an electronics class my junior year in high school, at the career
prep center. There, I put together my own circuit boards and the final one was an
AM/FM radio I still have to this day. Taking the time to build a circuit and watch the end
result is such an amazing feeling. I want to design my own circuit board one day for a
LED light panel, which will be placed on a car and painted over.
When I am not working or going to school I like to use my free time to play
billiards or video games. Billiards is my favorite sport because of the amount of
technique and precision you need to play like a pro, is extremely high. The whole game
every detail about it I love. From racking, breaking, potting, and knowing where the que
ball is going to stop. I am not a pro yet but, one day I will be good enough to play in big
league tournaments.
Too many video games really can ruin your mind. But they can also improve your
reaction timing. I really enjoy shooter games because you have to stay on your toes and
be ready for anything. My favorite game is Gears of War 3. I play online with and
against other players. It is 5 on 5 team based and can get very quick sometimes. You
definitely have to be on your toes playing this game because it can be just you against

2. all 5 sometimes. Depending on both the team you are on and the team you are playing
against.
In conclusion, I do my best to move forward in life. It gets hard a lot of the times
working 40+ hours a week and going to school full time, plus life’s obstacles that get in
the way. I have even come close recently to giving up. But I will never give up, I will
always push forward and get through thick and thin. Taking the time to learn how to play
billiards really helps because I love challenging myself.
Video games are a lot of fun too because you can play with your friends online so
you don’t have to go anywhere. If I focus on my goal, graduating with an Associate’s
degree and finding a job to start my career. Then, continue going to ITT for my
Bachelor’s degree and going to a more renowned college for my Master’s degree. I
believe I will be okay.
