Games Unit Final

 1. 1. Games Unit NBA 2K7 Marcus, Caleb, Stephen, Trent
 2. 2. Work plan

Marcus bring the system and the game, Stephen and Caleb played the game, while Trent took notes.

We mostly worked on our blog because we only played it once. We got a lot of info from it by playing it once.

Before winter break we played the game. Came back and work on our blog.

 3. 3. Game description

The game is somewhat fun at first. It’s addicting for awhile.

We choose to do it because it is basketball season. We had a choice from Madden 07 or NBA 2K7.

Everything was there that we was expecting. 3D graphics and other stuff.

Only two played it so far. For the other two was there first time playing.

 4. 4. Walkthrough

The walk through of 2K7.

 5. 5. First Screen

*The first screen that shows up is a wallpaper of Shaq O'Neal.

 6. 6. Pop up

*Then a pop-up is going to come up and ask you to choose your favorite team.

 7. 7. Choosing Your Favorite Team

*When you are done choosing your need to come up with a username. this will indicate and keep your score that you need to beat or this will show what you've done. Then when you're start.

 8. 8. Quick Play

*If you want to play other humans...go to Quick Play .

 9. 9. Game Mode

*If you want to play season...go to Game Mode . -In this. there is a lot of choices...go to season to play season, or go to association.

 10. 10. Ready and Shoot

*When you are all set to go.

 11. 11. Rubric

Point of View - Awareness of Audience

The point of view is good. So i would give it a "4". When you are playing an away game and you are beating them, the crowd would boo and stuff. So it's almost realistic. And when its close to the ending of the game and you're winning the will show some of the fan will leave.

Voice - Consistency

The voice of the game is perfectly volume. So I would give it an "3". The voice is at an volume where you can hear it. If you don't want it too loud, you can turn it down. It's clear, so you don't need to do anything to fix the clearness of the speaker.

Images

The image of our game is realistic. So I will give it an "3". The images of the game isn't flat, it's 3D. The player actually looks like the people in real life.

Rules

There are a lot of rules in the game. The rules are the same as it is in real life. But it's kind of hard to stay away from breaking the rules in the game. The only way you need to win is by fouling the other person. So i would give it a "4".

Usability

The usability of the game is ok. You can learn how to play basketball in real life a little bit better. And you can learn how to play better as you keep on playing. So I would give it a big " 4 ".

Point of View - Purpose

Everything in the game is based on basketball. So I would give it an "4" because is all based on basketball, Nothing else.

Soundtrack - Emotion

Most of the music's in the game is base on basketball. You can tell, because they say some of the basketball players name in it. So i would give it a "3" because some of the songs aren't based on basketball. The are just hip hop songs to motivate you.

Economy

The game can go on and on. When you play the season and beat it through, you can still play the same season but at a different year. So I would give it an "4".

Dramatic Question

The game was what i expected. It had all the things i wanted to play. Such as Association. So I would give it an "4".

Engagement

The game isn't really addicting. You would want to stop playing it after awhile, unless you are really into basketball. So I would give it an "3". It gets to boring because there are like 84 games to play.

complexity

The game isn't really complex. But you do have some some choice but not a lot. So I would give it an "3". There's like only 5 or 6 choices to play from, including the Quick Play, it will make it 6 or 7 choices.

 12. 12. Learning Roles

Everyone learn how to get there work done on time.

Give main points of how you answered the question in your essay

Each one of the Learning Role Questions should was answered in the form of a short essay of 3 paragraphs or more, and should include have included evidence or support from your game playing experience.

Touch upon your major points from the essay

 13. 13. Group Contributions

Everyone did what they were suppose to do except I (Marcus) only bring the game once.

Nothing was done differently.

 14. 14. Reflection

It’s kind of hard because some people don’t do what they are suppose to do. Especially in this kind of project. Some people would have a hard time sharing.

No because there is to much work. I thought that we were going to do only a little bit of work.
