Contractual Brief

A contractual brief is where a media company sings an agreement
to complete a specific task within a specific time period for a set
fee. The agreement is like a promise in which the promise is to do
something in return for a valuable benefit. Once the contract is
signed you have to therefore stick to your promise and get the job
that is asked to be done on time as you have signed for something
you have promised to deliver.

Advantages
The advantages of having a contractual agreement is that it is
declared that you have promised to do something in return of a fee
which is promised to be granted once the job has been completed.
Another advantage is that, you do not have to sign the contract if
you do not agree with something or if you don’t understand making
sure that you read the contract properly will benefit you to not have
any problems.
If the person who has agreed to job and unsuccessfully doesn’t
deliver than they can be sued and legal action can be taken as
they have broke the promise and have abused the contract by not
sticking to the agreement, this makes sure that you get back
whatever you have not received.

Disadvantages
The disadvantage of a contractual is that it may not be changed
further down the line if something do not go to plan for you to alter
or renegotiate the contract so when signing you have to make sure
you stick with what needed from you and that you read the
contract carefully so you do not sign to anything you will not be
able to commit.
