Your function in the ICV Leader of Lithuanian working group
Your ICV-team consists of…
We have about 7-10 active members and we still are at the starting point
to form an active working group.
How many hours a day/a week/a month or a year do you spend working for the
ICV?
Three times (about one week) every year
What are your main duties and responsibilities in the ICV?
Organization of congresses, meetings of working group, presentations
What do you like about your work for the ICV, what could you easily leave
behind?
I like the organization of working group events (the creative side of it)
and I do not like formal side of this work (documents, protocols, reports
and etc.)
What made you ambitious to work for the ICV?
I think ICV is a good idea for professionals who like to share their ideas
with colleagues who want to get deeper knowledge of their profession,
but doesn’t like traditional ways (lectures, seminars, professional
trainings).
How does the ICV benefit from you – and how do you benefit from the ICV?
At the moment I am one of the members of Lithuania working group who
is trying to maintain the ideas of ICV in Lithuania.
In the eastern European countries there are more women in positions with
responsibility within the ICV, compared to western European ICV work groups.
Why do you think it is like that?
Because women especially in Easter Europe more frequently involve
themselves in activities that do not ensure financial benefits.
What could men in the ICV learn from women in the ICV, what could a man in any
organization learn from YOU?
There is no difference whether you are a man or a woman. Everything
depends on individual features of a person. So to learn one could from
charismatic person.
2. If you think of the ICV: just tell us one word or one sentence or one thing you do
immediately think of!
It’s a club of professionals sharing their practice.
Are there any other organizations related to your profession that you do support
with your active work?
I am a member of European accounting association (EAA).
In Germany there is a dictum saying that a working woman always has to be
twice as good to achieve the same level of appreciation that a man receives for
the same performance. What do you think about it – would you agree with it?
It depends on situation and other circumstances. But anyway I would like
to agree with this dictum.
