Neutron evaporation spectra alongwith γ-multiplicity has been measured from the 185Re* compound nucleus at the excitation energies ~27 and 37 MeV. Statistical model analysis of the experimental data has been carried out to extract the value of the inverse level density parameter k at different angular momentum regions (J) corresponding to different γ-multiplicity. It is observed that, for the present system the value of k remains almost constant for different J. The present results on the angular momentum dependence of the nuclear level density (NLD) parameter ã (=A/k), for nuclei with A ~180 is quite different from our earlier measurements in case of light and medium mass systems. The present analysis provides useful information to understand the angular momentum dependence of NLD at different nuclear mass regions.
Drying plays a critical role in the agglomeration process, both as a pre-conditioning step, and as a way to reduce the moisture content of a final product. This presentation covers how drying is used in agglomeration, as well as some of the dryer types available.

Explore the transformative effects of Dual Language Immersion (DLI) programs in this enlightening presentation by Dr. Timothy Gadson, titled “Unlocking Potential: Dual Language Immersion Programs.” This session delves into the extensive benefits that DLI offers, including enhanced cognitive development and deeper cultural understanding. Dr. Gadson shares effective methodologies and proven strategies to address common obstacles encountered in adopting and scaling DLI programs. The presentation also covers practical aspects such as leveraging resources effectively, securing necessary funding, and cultivating a learning environment that respects cultural diversity. Designed for educators, school leaders, and all stakeholders in education, this presentation provides essential insights and tools for anyone interested in implementing or expanding DLI programs to enhance educational outcomes.

Greetings:
I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Bill Hellriegel who reported to me for almost ten
years during which he had an appointment in the English Language Program (ELP) of UCSB Extension's
International Programs (IP)_ At UCSB, Bill had an instructional appointment as well as the post of ELP
Academic Supervisor. Bill performed well beyond the established limits of his positions on a wide range
of responsibilities, including instruction, curriculum development, faculty and staff relations, budget
development and monitoring, and program management. I was his supervisor from 1993-2002.
Bill was appointed to his both ELPpositions as the result of national searches and he distinguished
himself in both roles. I had the opportunity to observe his classroom instruction and can say without
hesitation that he is one of the best classroom instructors that I have ever met. He consistently
obtained the highest student evaluations, at every proficiency level and course type. Bill worked very
hard to present new material and tryout innovative methods in the classroom despite his ongoing
success in evaluations. He keeps up with the professional literature and conscientiously upgrades his
skills as a matter of course. As a result, the portfolio of courses and levels that Bill can teach is quite
large. His creditability is also quite large among colleagues as he has a firm foundation for all theoretical
and practical discussions or decisions.
As the Academic Supervisor of the ELP, Bill had a full range of experience in programmatic management,
faculty supervision, oversight of a curriculum renewal, start-up of web-based instruction as well as
budgetary and logistical management. He was successful in outreach in the professional and wider
communities, performing well on several recruitment trips in the US and abroad. Typical of Bill's
approach was his determination to pursue management knowledge; he did this at night and on
weekends through numerous continuing education courses. His efforts were key in the reorganization
and culture change of the ELP,the results of which were measurable increases in enrollments and
student satisfaction as well as in standards for professionalism among the instructional. staff.
Everyone at International Programs relied on Bill's familiarity with other languages and cultures,
particularly the Spanish and Japanese languages. He often and willingly served as interpreter and
cultural advisor for students, families and sponsors. Bill was skilled at conflict resolution across a broad
range of participants and settings. These abilities were the deciding factors in IP's obtaining several
short-term training programs from a variety of sponsoring organizations.

integrity. His professional knowledge and insights make him a valuable colleague, as does his sense of
commitment to the organization and the profession.
