Drones are increasingly being considered for simplifying retail operations. Drones are especially useful for fulfilling last-mile delivery. E-commerce companies such as Amazon have already spent significant amounts in testing and perfecting drone-based order fulfillment. However, there are regulatory hurdles related to aviation, security threat perception, and other aspects that are yet to be resolved.
