Wikirace is a web application that allows users to connect two Wikipedia search terms by showing the path of pages that connects them. It works by having users enter two keywords, then submitting to see the "degrees of words separation". The technology uses Python (Flask and websockets) on the backend and a MySQL database to track requests. It has separate teams for front-end (UI), back-end (search functionality), and sysadmin that worked using Kanban and had its first board meeting and MVP on its way to the 3pm website launch.
