The document proposes establishing a South Lake Tahoe Soccer Association to provide positive community involvement through soccer. It would benefit the community in several ways: by bridging cultural divides, offering recreational and competitive play for all ages and skill levels, creating jobs, and helping retain residents and attract visitors. The association would establish reduced/free fee programs to ensure all children can participate, and generate funding through various means to support this mission of inclusion. It aims to develop players through different age-appropriate programs, while also engaging adults as coaches, referees, and leaders.

Researchers have visualized naturally occurring messenger RNA (mRNA) and its associated molecules for the first time. Messenger RNA transports genetic information from DNA in the nucleus to the cytoplasm, where it is used as a template for protein production by ribosomes. The researchers were able to observe mRNA molecules and their interactions with ribosomes and other molecules. Understanding these processes could help develop new antibiotics to treat drug-resistant bacteria.

This video by MTV EXIT and Radiohead highlights the contrast between a child's life in a developed country versus one being trafficked. The video uses a split screen to show a happy, carefree child's day on the left and a trafficked child working long hours in poor conditions on the right. Through the song "All I Need" and visuals, it brings awareness to human trafficking without words. Careful use of color, lighting, and proxemics enhance the message by portraying warmth on the left and gloom on the right. community involvement
through soccer for the
residents of the South
Lake Tahoe area.
Why does South Lake Tahoe need a Soccer Association?
Our community tableau is undergoing radical change today, with the influx of an increasing number of
culturally distinct peoples and a population that ebbs and flows with the tourist economy. Combining and
associating all levels of the sport into one, 501c3 non-profit organization, will have a hugely positive impact
in this community…Everyone will benefit…the 4 year old who learns to play soccer for the first time,
adult seasonal residents who have another reason to stay, work and play in town, the Latino Community
has a natural, safe and healthy place to plug-in, local businesses will realize more profit around Association
events/tournaments and young players will have an opportunity to play in a competitive Club that can pre-
pare them athletically and garner the recognition necessary to win scholarships to attend college. Through
a vibrant, accepting soccer organization, the gap between established members of the community and
people new to it, who face natural barriers of culture and language, can and will be bridged. The soccer
field can be an important social sanctuary when supported by the right organization.
