This reduces both opportunity for the ISV to benefit from addition functionality that can be utilised by newer devices, and also business opportunities where customers have devices they wish to use that are incompatible.

Workforce-XML is a consortium of Hardware manufacturers and Software Vendors who are working together to standardise the way that hardware used for workforce management; badge readers, Biometric devices, access control devices for example integrates seamlessly with the T&A or workforce management software.
