How to Study English and Why?

   Who likes exams!!

   What do they say about exams?!

* The more studying you did for the exam, the less sure you are
  which answer they want!



* If you are given an open-book exam, you will forget your book!



* If you are given a take-home exam, you will forget where you live!


   What are we talking about today?

* Self-study



* Life-long learning



* E-learning
What is self-study?

* A form of study in which one is responsible for one's own teaching.



   What is long-life learning?

* Lifelong learning is the continuous building of skills and
  knowledge throughout the life of an individual.

   What is e-learning?

* E-learning includes all forms of electronic learning and teaching.

   Why these three concepts?

* Self-study (WHO)!



* Long-life learning (WHEN)!



* E-learning (HOW)!



   Learning to Learn

   And then?

* How to apply all these concepts in learning English?!!!
Reading: Be an Active Reader!

* A newspaper or article magazine every week.

* Make a vocabulary list.

* Write a comment.

* Compile a file for your progress.

* Exchange with your colleagues.


   Practise Speaking!

* Learn the phonetic symbols.



* Read a passage out loud in front of the mirror!

* Record for yourself.

* Arrange for practice time with friends.
