Who am i lesson plan edp 279
1. How I would apply the smart board with Who Am I Lesson Plan.
Vocabulary and the rubric would be shown through the smart board. Examples of others work would
also be shown through the smart board. I would do an interactive activity so students could be involved
with the smart board. I would do a matching activity with the elements and principles of design through
the smart board which would give students a chance to personally use the smart board and interact with
the technology.
I have chosen to use my own personal Art Lesson plan I am currently working on but I have also added
the link below from smart exchange which has a great activity for students to engage themselves with
the new technology while learning about the elements and principles of design.

3. Lesson Narrative
Students will be taking a personality test and finding unique
characteristics about themselves. After evaluating the test and
understanding each characteristic about themselves, students will create
a color that they feel resembles each trait describing them. Using a grid
method, students will transfer a selfie image of themselves creating a self
portrait. Students will then write a short narrative including their
characteristics and describing what each color means to them.
4. Lesson Rationale
The personality test helps define who you are through characteristics. As a
freshman in high school, this is a pivotal time for students to start defining
themselves. This connects to the students during this time of finding themselves
and also gives them a chance to look back to their freshman year as a senior and
see their own personal growth. Using technology which students commonly use
like snapchat and taking selfies can also help with the appeal of the project.
Transferring a simple selfie image into a self portrait using different media and
methods such as watercolor, acrylic and grid method gives students an
understanding of how many different ways you can create something. This project
as a whole shows students problem solving methods.
5. Personality TEst
Before students learn about the project, they will take a
personality test to get in touch with their own personality
traits. The idea behind taking the personality quiz before
introducing the project is to engage students with finding a
piece of themselves before making quick decisions for the
painting process.

These questions let the instructor
understand their artistic choices and
the last question is feedback on the
project for the teacher.
