Course Description <ul><li>Students will learn: </li></ul><ul><li>Art methods </li></ul><ul><li>Art history </li></ul><ul><li>Art criticism </li></ul><ul><li>Aesthetics </li></ul>This class will consist of hands on experience and self expression. The students will understand and make use of the principles of design. Emphasis will be focused on the production and the technical aspects of their art work. This course will also include knowledge of different art periods and the use of a variety of media. In addition, they will explore the art of other cultures. Furthermore, they will learn from art critiques through the exchange of dialogue.  
  3. 3. Together with Art <ul><li>This course will also integrate technology by providing students the opportunity to learn about a major 21st Century skill. This art method can develop our focus on Life and Career Skills </li></ul><ul><li>A learning activity that the students will be able to experience is how to sketch, model and use computer art tools. This will help students in their advancement in educational careers and other academic subjects. </li></ul>

  7. 7.   <ul><li>Activity </li></ul><ul><li>Objective : Exploring the possibilities in art </li></ul><ul><li>Students will create a collage describing themselves while incorporating a particular time period in art history </li></ul><ul><li>They will have the option to use any media format of their choosing it can be 2-D, 3-D, or film </li></ul><ul><li>For example, movie montage, cut-outs from magazines and fabrics </li></ul><ul><li>Research will be necessary to find out information about the time period; example: Renaissance, Baroque </li></ul><ul><li>Each student will then present their final project to the class to practice their public speaking skills </li></ul><ul><li>This will give them the opportunity to be inventive and creative </li></ul><ul><li>They will be given 3 weeks to complete this assignment </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul>
