Satyendra Dubey was a civil engineer who exposed corruption in the Golden Quadrilateral highway project in India. He discovered that contractors were illegally subcontracting work and providing misleading reports about project progress. When Dubey reported this corruption through proper channels, there was no response or investigation. He was later found shot dead in 2003, after reporting the corruption directly to the Prime Minister's office. Dubey received several awards posthumously for his bravery as a whistleblower.
