The document discusses polyglot programming, which refers to knowing and using multiple programming languages together. It notes that polyglot programmers are not "rockstar programmers" or "spy programmers" but rather focus on using the common web platform. Becoming a polyglot programmer requires deliberate practice, involvement in language communities, practicing through projects, and being willing to take risks. The document outlines some challenges of polyglot programming like a lack of direct revenue potential or chance to practice. It also provides some recommendations for languages to learn, including C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python and Ruby.

HTML 5 is a set of codes that computers follow to display web pages, similar to how coding is used with robots. HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language and is used to show pictures, links, and other online content in a web browser. HTML 5 aims to eliminate plug-ins like Flash that can slow websites and potentially introduce viruses, instead supporting features directly in browsers across devices while still being developed and adding new capabilities.

PHP is a widely used scripting language for web development that can be embedded into HTML. It was created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994 and has since gone through several major versions with new features and performance improvements. PHP 7, the latest major version, was released in 2015 and introduced significant internal changes and optimizations that provide substantial performance gains compared to earlier versions.
PHP is a widely used open source scripting language originally designed for web development that can be embedded into HTML. It has a syntax inspired by C and C++ and is installed on over 20 million websites as a way to add dynamic functionality to web pages. The language has evolved over time through different versions and is powered by the Zend Engine.
Rasmus Lerdorf invented PHP in 1994 for personal use and released the first version in 1995 under the name Personal Homepage. PHP is an open-source, server-side scripting language that is embedded in HTML code to create dynamic web pages. PHP scripts are commonly used for server-side scripting, command line scripting, and writing desktop applications. PHP code is written using tags like <?php ?> and uses semicolons (;) to terminate statements.

This document discusses PHP, including what it is, its features, basic syntax, installation, and how to run PHP programs. PHP is a server-side scripting language used to build dynamic web applications and pages. It is open source, platform independent, and has a large library of support. The document outlines how to install PHP using XAMPP, and provides a basic example PHP registration form program. Advantages of PHP include being cross-platform, easy to use, and having open source and powerful library support. Disadvantages include weak typing and poor error handling.
PHP is a widely used scripting language originally designed for web development. It allows server-side code to produce dynamic web page content. PHP code is embedded into HTML and executed by a PHP interpreter on the web server to create web pages. It can be deployed on most web servers and operating systems free of charge. Some key points about PHP include:
- It was created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1995 and is now produced by The PHP Group.
- PHP code is interpreted from HTML files and outputs HTML. It focuses on server-side scripting to generate dynamic web content.
- Popular frameworks built with PHP include CakePHP, Symfony, CodeIgniter, and Zend Framework.
PHP is an open source server-side scripting language that allows embedding code directly into HTML pages to create dynamic content. It is intuitive for C and Perl developers to learn and offers excellent connectivity to databases. PHP code is executed on the server, so no special software is needed for the client browser beyond HTML support. PHP shares syntax with Perl and C, using loosely typed variables and supporting control structures like if/else statements.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
A tale of scale & speed: How the US Navy is enabling software delivery from l...sonjaschweigert1
Rapid and secure feature delivery is a goal across every application team and every branch of the DoD. The Navy’s DevSecOps platform, Party Barge, has achieved:

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
