2. Fanfiction in a nutshell
- A fan of some book/movie/band/game/etc. writes a
story about it
- Fiction is written using another author’s
characters and/or world
- Fiction is usually shared in the internet, but it
is never sold

3. When Writing Fanfiction, you can change...
- Time
- Place
- Characters (take away or add some new)
- Characters’ role (age, sex)
- Self insert (put yourself to the story)

- Plot (beginning, ending or the whole story)
- Genre/style (fantasy, romance, adventure, humour,
mystery, sci-fi…)
- You can also do a crossover and mix two or more
different stories

5. Pros of writing Fanfiction
- You don’t have to imagine all the elements by yourself.
- It is easy to start writing with characters and world you
know well.
- Fanfiction forums in the internet are supportive.
- PS. It can start a writing career! Many authors have
started with Fanfiction.
