1. Unplug the air conditioning and remove the cover from the air conditioning by unscrewing
it then clean the covers, if necessary then vacuuming any visible dirt or wiping down with the
damp rag.
2. Determine what exactly wrong with the air conditioning and Keep in mind that the only
parts that can be fixed without experience person are the fan, power cord, filter, selector
switch and the coils on the evaporator and condenser. All other will require an experienced
person.
3. Clean the fan using the vacuum cleaner; clean the blades by wiping everything off with the
damp rag.
4. Remove the old filters, take it to the store and purchase the correct replacement for the old
one.

5. Remove the broken power cord from the unit and take it when you go to purchase the new
one. Purchase a replacement power cords and follow the instructions in the owner’s manual
to install it.
6. Use the screwdriver to unscrew the selector switch from its housing and check for scorch
marks or other signs of the damage. Take a new power cords and then install it according to
the instructions included the switch or provides by the owner’s manual.
7. Use a brush or the vacuum cleaner attachments to clean the coils on the evaporator and
condenser, use the corner-cleaning wand to reach the small areas; use the brush attachment
to clean the larger areas and the outside. Use the fin brush to lightly bend them back into
their original shape and if necessary.
