1. I am currently involved in three different areas of research:
1) Operating Systems
2) Computer Architecture
3) A research focused on the field of energy, that receives already high attention and lies high in the
international agenda, as one of the most important issues of our century and the humanity overall.
Concerning the research on Operating Systems, I am carrying out an investigation on file
systems, Software Graphical User Interfaces and Human - Computer Interaction. Furthermore, there
is a special focus on the advantages the end-user could benefit from, while an operating system is
written fully in Assembly. Lastly, I am interested and researching the complete integration between
A.l. at the core level.
In Computer Architecture, my interest lies in "Post silicon era materials and technologies"
such as Carbon nanotubes, quantum computing, Neurosynaptics, Memristors, DNA Computing, III-
V technologies and Photonics. As Von Neumann Architecture consists an outdated method that
against all odds is widely and mainly used to computer technology, there is a growing need for new
technologies that will replace and improve the current trend.
Lastly and most importantly I am highly interested in the field of energy.
As odd as it might sound I am far from investigating alternative energy sources that are an
alternative to fossil fuel, such as biomass or renewable energy. What intrigues me most about energy
is whether possible to replace electrical power generated by Electrical energy derived from electric
potential energy, with magnetic power or light energy or alternatively with gravitational energy and
the advantages that derive by this replacement.
What I am aiming for is creating a project that will radically alter the way computers function
nowadays.
I would like to be part of a team, that is as passionate about all those three areas as myself.
