1.AIR TERMINALS (LIGHTNING RODS)
Air terminals, commonly known as lightning rods or strike receptors, are the first line
of defense in an LPS. These metal rods are strategically placed on the highest points
of a structure.

Down conductors, also called lightning conductors or lightning downleads, are the
channels that carry the lightning's electrical current from the air terminals to the
grounding system.

plates. This system ensures that the electrical energy from a lightning strike is safely
