I used this presentation as part of a math lesson, where the students copied the information into the vocabulary section of their math folders. This was beneficial because I was able to highlight the vocabulary, which made the focus obvious to the children. It works well because unlike using an overhead or the whiteboard, the television is easily visible to all students, and no-one was required to move from their seat during this time. In addition, presenting the information using this format gets the students attention, and enhances their understanding through the use of color and graphics. I was also able to go back to the skip counting slide to make the connection between repeated addition and multiplication. These connections are vital for some children to grasp the concept.
