MARKET WRAP
CHANA
In the domestic markets the prices are finding support from the increasing
demand by the millers and the retailers. The shrinking arrivals are supporting
the uptrend amidst of the growing demand..
Chana futures are projected to gain further in the coming week. The delayed
sowing concerns in Canada and Australia is affecting the market sentiments
TURMERIC
Turmeric futures are expected to trade very sluggish with negative bias in
coming week in absence of fresh market cues from spot market.
According to traders in May demand always remains sluggish due to rise in
mercury levels. However, traders are not having much stock to fulfill the
orders in coming days which might provoke them for buying at lower levels.
JEERA
Jeera is expected to continue the positive trend on fresh buying on previous
losses in coming week.
Lean season for arrivals has been started which might add positivity in the
market. However, production estimation from Syria and Turkey are likely to hit
the market by 1st week of June which might limit the sharp gains.
PEPPER
Pepper futures are projected to continue the bullish trend on fresh buying
supported by prevailing fundamentals. Strong demand for the produce from
both local traders and exporters is likely to render support to the market.
Prices might take corrections on profit selling at higher levels. Global supply
situation has been tightening which might support the prices. According to
trade sources, Vietnam exported 50% of their stock so far.
