MARKET WRAP
CHANA
Stockists and traders are procuring Chana from the spot market as the prices
are at very comfortable level and markets are witnessing inflow of good
quality produce.
n the short to medium term price trend would depend on the pace of arrivals
and the as actual production estimates of Rabi Pulses.
TURMERIC
Prices and volumes are falling while open interest is witnessing a positive
move. It is a good indication that a sharp rally against downtrend will develop
creating a good sell point.
Demand from the local stockists and overseas buyer have declined due to
sharp fall. Buyers are anticipating further fall in the prices.
JEERA
Revival in demand from the overseas will support Jeera prices in the short
term.
Prices and open interest are rising while volumes are falling. Market is
attracting late buyers & early shorts; so it is vulnerable to a sharp correction
but likely that that correction will be brought creating a buy point for uptrend.
PEPPER
Pepper output is expected to decline this year in the international market. This
could support the prices in the short as well as long term.
Pepper prices will depend on demand from the overseas and domestic
market and fresh arrivals in the physical market in Kochi. Prices will also take
cues from pepper prices in the international market of various origins
particularly India, Vietnam, Indonesia and Brazil.
