Startup Weekend has become a major force for fostering entrepreneurship all around the world. If you are into startups or wondering what it's like to be in one, look for an event near you. Together with a small team you will create a startup in 54 hours. Nothing quite like it.
Startup Weekend is a 54-hour event that provides resources for teams to develop an idea into a launched product. Participants include developers, innovators and entrepreneurs who work together in teams over the weekend. In the past, 30% of teams from Startup Weekends have remained active after the event, 5% have received funding, and some teams generate revenue within the weekend. The event includes pitching ideas, working in teams, developing demos, and networking opportunities.
Iran Internet Ecosystem - Speech Deck at Startup IstanbulMohsen Malayeri
This document discusses Iran's growing internet ecosystem and startup movement. It notes that Iran has a young, educated population with 32 million people aged 20-35. The use of internet and mobile devices in Iran has grown dramatically from 2012 to 2014.
