World Environment Day 2011 was organized by the Department of Computer Applications at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology in Thrissur. The event highlighted several environmental issues including forests providing natural resources, the diversity of species on the planet and shared future, the lack of access to water affecting two billion people, the impact on children, promoting green cities, giving the Earth a chance for sustainability, and water being a vital resource for life. Photos from the event were provided with thanks from a student organizer.
