3. Deliverables
All deliverables require approval by the
client in order to move forward in the
process.
Because each step in the process builds
upon the previous step, approvals
should be considered final within the
scope of the project, once work has
begun on the next set in the process.
4. Website Content
The content for the website will be
needed in digital format prior to the
design phase of the project.
Content submitted should be the
complete, proofread, correct and final
version. Placeholder content can’t be
used.
5. Step 1: Planning
Create a detailed specification based on
your requirements.
Creative Brief: Defines aesthetic and
technical elements
Content Outline: Defines content and
functionality
Project Schedule
Confirm final specifications are within
the scope of initial estimate. Adjust if
necessary.
6. Step 2: Information Design
Start with the approved Content Outline
Create a Site Map
Create Wireframes for each unique
page type.
10. Step 3: Graphic Design
Select from Mood Boards based on
Creative Brief
Create Mock-ups for each unique page
type based on Mood Board and
Wireframes
11. Mood Boards
Created based on information in the Creative Brief and include color palette,
typography and other visual elements.
13. Step 4: Production
Create a Production List that includes all
necessary website assets (images, text,
video, etc).
Create the assets.
14. Step 5: Integration
Configure the content management
system (CMS).
Code the templates from the approved
mockups.
Flow in content.
Perform search engine optimization.
Submit development version of website
for approval.
15. Step 6: Testing
Test website on all devices, platforms
and browsers as specified in the
Creative Brief.
Fix bugs as necessary.
16. Step 7: Launch
Publish site live on target domain
Set redirects to point old pages to new
pages if necessary (for redesign
projects).
